EYFS Physical Development Activities for Children

Purposeful physical development sessions that help children move with confidence, communicate with others, build independence and develop the foundations they need for school and life.

How We Support Your Child's Development

Our programmes are designed to provide a holistic educational experience that goes beyond physical activity, focusing on the whole child.

01

Physical Development

We focus on gross motor skills, coordination, and balance through purposeful movement and structured games.

02

Communication & Social Skills

Children learn to listen, wait their turn, share space, and communicate effectively through team challenges.

03

School Readiness

By building confidence and independence, we help children transition smoothly into formal education settings.

The Session Flow

01

Welcome & Routine

Children sit in a designated demonstration area while the coach introduces the theme, rules, and movement focus.

02

Warm-up Movement Story

Running, jumping, balancing, and stretching activities themed around animals or transport to build gross motor skills.

03

Skill Station Practice

Children practise a core movement skill using spots as standing points and cones to create tactical zones.

04

Game-Based Learning

Children apply the skill in a simple game, focusing on listening, turn-taking, and confidence-building.

05

Celebration & Reflection

Children identify what they practised and reinforce positive behaviours and effort with a celebration.
